A dual-level commercial project in Madhya Pradesh, that merges workspace efficiency with vibrant, brand-driven retail expression Manav Agency COMMERCIAL | MADHYA PRADESH Scope : Interiors + Facade (Consultancy) Area : 7500 sqft Status : Completed in 2023 Design Team : Ayush Jagnani, Nitika Bajaj, Utsav Agrawal Budget : Basic In the heart of the city stands a uniquely bold structure that quietly defies the usual boundaries of commercial interior design. This project reimagines what it means to combine two distinct industries -pharmaceuticals and confectionery -within a single vertically stacked footprint. The primary challenge was to meet strict regulatory and operational needs for pharmaceuticals as well as to create a lively retail experience to appeal to the younger, confectionery-loving crowd. The building’s exterior is a symmetrical vertical elevation with tall, vertical windows neatly punctuated by sleek geometric lines. The ground and lower levels are designated for Manav Agency, the pharmaceutical division and the vibrant upper floors welcome customers to Amul Essence Mart, a modern retail space for baking essentials and gourmet goods. The pharmaceutical section on the lower level is a model of utilitarian grace. A space promoting swift operations and strict hygiene is created via the use of tiled floors, open-plan workstations, including frosted glass cabins and acoustic privacy panels, and an intelligent use of modular furniture. Subtle pops of green -seen in roller blinds and wall art -gentle breaks the monotony of the clinical palette. Despite the high-functionality layout, soft LED downlighting and wooden textures lend the space a sense of calm continuity. In striking contrast, the Amul Essence Mart on the upper floor presents a lively atmosphere. Designed to appeal to the flourishing community of young bakers, home cooks, and cafe owners, this space is colour-blocked, bold and brand-forward. This project elevates the status of the two businesses. It redefines the customer and staff experience across both domains, challenging the conventional notion that pharmaceutical spaces must be sterile and the retail must be chaotic. A Delhi home that balances privacy and street presence through tropical tones, sun-screened façades and interiors crafted for warmth and ease Jain's Residence RESIDENTIAL | DELHI Scope : Interiors (Consultancy) Area : 2500 sqft Status : Completed in 2022 Design Team : Ayush Jagnani, Rohit Jain, Vandana Jain Fitout : Ayush Buildtech Photographer : Lalatendu Nayak Budget : Mid-Range Located on a prominent arterial road, the building posed an intriguing architectural challenge that required a seamless interplay between commercial visibility and residential privacy. The southern facade is meticulously treated with a combination of screens and layered balconies to safeguard it from harsh and highly exposed sunlight. This not only offers acoustic insulation from the busy street below but also shields the interiors from heat gain. The material palette, which includes textured brick, vertical wooden slats and perforated jaali, produces an earthy and tactile aesthetic that grounds the building’s presence in its urban context. The project focused on the interior of the floor inhabited by an elderly couple. Their brief called for a low maintenance space which radiates warmth and subtlety. Through the use of recessed lighting, carved wooden cabinetry, woven cane panels, hand-picked upholstery and other contemporary and traditional elements, the interior creates a serene and inviting ambience through the use of. In addition to fostering a comfortable living space, the use of an accent wallpaper, pastel hues and adequate seating arrangement adds depth and cultural richness to the modern design. A compact Madhya Pradesh workspace blending polished wood, raw cement panels and vibrant accents to create balance, warmth and clarity Studio BluKey Office COMMERCIAL | MADHYA PRADESH Scope : Interiors (Consultancy) Area : 500 sqft Status : Completed in 2023 Design Team : Ayush Jagnani, Utsav Agrawal Fitout : Studio Blukey Budget : Basic The soul of any brand - who they are, what they represent and how they operate - is reflected through its workspace. At Arth Design, while designing workspaces, we aim to focus on celebrating the brand identity through space; we go beyond formulaic office templates to create environments that reflect purpose and individuality. The office for Studio BluKey, an interior fit-out firm, is designed to highlight materiality and texture, while blending professional minimalism and an inviting sense of warmth. The significant use of meticulously polished teak and oak wood reveals the richness of their natural grains. The crafted woodwork becomes a storytelling surface that demonstrates precision, tactility and craftsmanship. On the other hand, raw cement panels introduce an industrial honesty, creating a perfect fusion of the refined and the unfinished, the process and the outcome. A partition of perforated cement blocks in place of solid walls maintains privacy while adding visual depth and play of light. Each block is polished on one side and raw on the other to demonstrate how the same material, when processed in different techniques, can create contrasting emotions within the same space. Complementing the overall neutral, textural palette are these splashes of colour coming in through vibrant soft furnishings, lush greens and bold planters. These elements bring the workspace to life, giving rhythm and energy to a calm, timeless restraint. A podcast studio in Madhya Pradesh designed for creative flexibility, transforming a compact room into a versatile, multi-set recording space Proactive I COMMERCIAL | MADHYA PRADESH Scope : Interiors (Consultancy) Area : 400 sqft Status : Completed in 2023 Design Team : Ayush Jagnani, Utsav Agrawal Budget : Basic The clients' simple yet challenging brief was to design a podcast recording studio that would be flexible enough to support diverse content themes and audiences. Housed within a moderately sized room in their current facility, the project necessitated strategic spatial planning to optimise versatility within a compact footprint. This concept became the foundation of our design approach. As designers, we often imagine all surfaces uniting to form a single spatial experience. Here, we deliberately reversed that perspective. The four distinct walls of the room were conceived as individual canvases which narrated their own visual stories. Three of these walls function as interchangeable backdrops for recordings — one displays soft, organic forms with soothing neutrals; another highlights bold, retro-inspired graphics in hues of yellow and orange; and a third showcases contemporary geometry in subdued monochromes. Establishing the area with a minimalist look, the fourth wall functions as a workspace for editing and coordination. Three furniture setups displayed against these backdrops enables the studio to present nine unique configurations, which can seamlessly transition as per the themes, subjects, moods and formats. This modular design modifies a small recording room into a versatile creative hub — a space that reflects the evolving nature of modern content creation while maintaining visual richness and functional clarity.
